Monet & Cezanne: 5th and 6th (Update)

And these are finished!!! very happy with the results, below are the works done by 5th grade inspired by two famous Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists, Claude Monet and Paul Cezanne.

Our French Department was celebrating the month of La Francophonie,
so they requested the works to do a mini exhibit along
other French related themes.

Students worked with oil pastels, which they loved for mixing colors.

A lot of them were scared by following the style of
Monet, but in the end they did a great job!

UPDATE: Monet & Cezanne Post

One Point Perspective: 4th

For my 4th graders we did the one point perspective version... challenging work, but at the end everybody made it!

Two Point Perspective: 5th and 6th

I tried this simple yet very useful project with my 5th and 6th graders, after going over one point perspective drawing with them. This first one, we did it just in pencil but for the two point perspective project we worked a little bit more on concept and overall appearance. Below some of the great results...

5th graders:

Some added a lot more details than other, which
enhanced the overall appearance of the work.
