Van Gogh Passed By: 4th

Following up on my last post for 4th grade, this is the other half of the class that worked with Van Gogh instead of Monet. Results were as good as the other ones, and students enjoyed finishing a painting that required a few days of work.  (See the works inspired by Monet)

Printmaking Bookmarks: 6th

Final year project couldn't have gone better than this!

For this project students had to design a Bookmark on Scratch-Foam inspired by their favorite artist. We review the different styles/artists studied during the year and some from even last year. The results were amazing, they couldn't stop printing! Now all we have to do is cut them to size and hang them by a cool thread...

Monet Passed By: 4th

Monet paid a visit to our classroom and got us inspired...I think pictures speak for themselves! Students learn different techniques for using acrylics along with getting to know more about Impressionism and Monet's style of work.

This idea came upon seeing some beautiful results
on Art With Mr. E for a similar project. Half of my class did paintings
inspired by Van Gogh and the other half worked with Monet.
A great way to introduce 2 great artists when running
short on school year time!
